VOICEMAIL

[ Zelda @ Smash Academy ]

You've reached Zelda's voicemail! I'm sorry I'm not available at the moment. Please leave a message and I'll call back when I'm free.

If this is a resident emergency, do not hesitate to contact Green Oak, Kumatora, or Bulba with the nature of the problem. One of us will be with you as soon as we can.

[WHAT IS THIS? It's a weird video post on the network, one without a network username attached. IT'S WIZARD MAGIC AGAIN.

Or maybe ninja magic, because there's Mysterious Ninja Boy, looking very serious as always.]

Though it has been some time, I believe there is a matter of campus safety worth mentioning. Several weeks ago, I was attacked on the main quad by a strange creature. I am unsure of what it was, exactly, but it was quadrupedal, very fast, and managed to incapacitate me with electricity.

As far as I know, this creature is still at large, and possibly in the forest. Should you choose to roam the campus at night, I advise all of you to be cautious.

20 [VIDEO/ACTION]

[Despite Marth's warning that she should leave campus, Zelda knew there would be no way to drag the naturally combative students of Smash Academy away from a good fight, even though the fight looked increasingly hopeless. She also knew that there was no way she was leaving when there were still students around.

She might not have been able to destroy the doomchicks, but barricading her and Krystal's room and putting up magical barriers has helped stave them off. At some point, she manages to post a video to the network after a STUNNING REALIZATION.]

I don't know how many of you are still even checking your computers. I am going to attempt to access the bunkers beneath the school. Those of you that fought against the Aparoids will know what I'm talking about, but suffice it to say that with our situation worsening, it's the most secure place I can think of. If any of you are injured, let me know and I will do my best to escort you to safety.

[IT'S THAT TIME AGAIN, SMASH ACADEMY. Seemingly overnight, the dorms have EXPLODED into a forest of pink, red and white, paper hearts and Valentine's garland consuming the halls of the student dorms. Zelda has taken extra care this year to put giant construction paper hearts on each door, bearing the names of the inhabitants in loopy, girly handwriting laced with glitter. ISN'T IT ALL JUST. SO CUTE.

IT'S SO CUTE.]

I do love this time of year. If you look close enough, you can see bulbs poking through the snow on campus.

Though I am sure most of you have already been alerted, Maxwell Labs has taken leave for a time. Please direct any resident questions or emergencies to myself or Green Oak. We'll be happy to assist you in any way possible.

I hope that everyone's holiday was enjoyable. I will be visiting Hyrule for a time, and will return to campus after the new year. Please take care and stay safe.

The recent posts on the journal network have been troubling, to say the least.

I understand that much of the curriculum of this school is combat-oriented. That does not, however, excuse students and faculty landing each other in the hospital. Though it may have begun as self-defense, the violence went too far on both parts, and the animosity and whitewashing that spread over the journal network afterward is also uncalled for.

As one of the Resident Advisors, it is my job to ensure that the student dorms are a comfortable and safe place that we call our home-away-from home. Frankly, the negative feelings I've been observing, whether from involved parties or not, is not conducive to a healthy living environment.

Therefore, the other RAs and I will be holding a mandatory sit in a circle and sing kumbaya meeting over winter break for all residents to discuss these issues and hopefully come to some sort of understanding. Though I cannot force faculty to attend, I strongly recommend attendance.

17 [Text/Action] IC SECRET SANTA

[The observant might notice that the halls of the student and teacher's dorms are slowly becoming covered with colorful lights and snowflake garland. The extra-observant might notice that it's Zelda as usual, hanging holiday decorations.]

It's hard to believe the end of the year is already upon us.

I know others have organized this in the past, but would any of you be interested in a gift exchange? A...Secret Santa, if you will. Just let me know if you'd like to participate, and I'll shuffle the names and contact each of you privately with who you've been matched with. I've left a sign-up sheet in the dorm common rooms as well.

There is no monetary limit to the gifts--you can even make something, if you like. Just remember to keep it a secret until the exchange later this month.

16 [LO, A VOICE OF REASON.]

[Zelda is WATCHING YOU ALL FROM HER WINDOW.]

Surely there is a more reasonable way to go about this than a race to the antidote. I understand we are in a potentially dire situation, and that there is not enough antidote for all who may have consumed the poison. But as desperate as this may seem, fighting for the cure will do no good. Perhaps we can work together to retrieve everything from the clock tower and distribute the antidote through civil discussion, while those who are more scientifically inclined work to replicate the substance. I wish to assist however I can.

I implore you, Smash Academy, do not lose yourselves in the effort to survive. You are strong, brave, resourceful individuals. Do not succumb to fear and selfishness.

15 [VIDEO/ACTION]

[Man, this school is both dumb and stressful. First everyone was animals, and now, with Midna's departure, there is a severe lack of sexy. And when things get stressful round these parts, there's always a little less Zelda and a little more Sheik. It's just how this princess rolls.

There is a video post on the network, one without a network username attached. HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE? Wizards, probably. Some of you might recognize the mysterious masked ninja boy on the feed, some might not. Either way, mysterious masked ninja boy does not take the time to introduce himself, and only stares at the camera with varying degrees of disdain.]

I must say I'm surprised that no students or faculty have expressed interest in finding the culprit for the recent string of transformations. Usually such events cause an uproar among those of you that demand explanations.

Nevertheless, such irresponsible use of magic necessitates investigation. I will take it upon myself to hold a night patrol, in the event that history repeats itself, as it often does.

Security guards, perhaps I will cross paths with you. I doubt you will deny extra help.

[And there goes the video. HOW MYSTERIOUS.

NIGHT PATROL. Respond via journal network! Run around at night! Cause grief and/or mischief! The choice is yours!]

It seems I never formally announced my return on the journal network. For that, I must apologize. I sincerely regret that my absence has caused me to miss an influx of new students. Please feel free to introduce yourselves if we haven't met.

Thank you to everyone who joined me at the archery range last week. I know it's a bit difficult to be outside this time of year, considering how warm it can be, but rest assured I thoroughly enjoyed the company of each and every one of you. I think perhaps I will try to make a habit of it. Air conditioning makes it very easy to stay in all day, but it would be a shame to let this beautiful weather go to waste.

...Apparently some were under the misconception that I had eloped? How strange.

It seems my immediate attention is required in Hyrule. My apologizes to the new arrivals who might need my assistance, and to the rest of you who will be starting classes on Monday. Maxwell, I'm sorry for burdening you with my duties as well as yours.

I am not sure how long I will be absent, but rest assured I will return as soon as I can. Please take care, everyone.

It's strange to think that this time last year I was preparing for my own graduation. I hope everyone is at least finding time to enjoy the lovely weather, even if you are preoccupied with finals. If anyone needs help with their studies, or have other graduation-related concerns, please don't hesitate to ask. What are everyone's plans for the ceremony? I admit I'm looking forward to it. In the meantime, I've been taking advantage of the sun down at the archery range. Anyone is welcome to join me.

Also, whoever broke into my room--I understand that April 1st is some kind of holiday, but the antics were not appreciated in the least.

...I'll be keeping the book and the movie.

I hope at least some of you had a pleasant Valentine's. It's such a shame that a day all about love turned into something so many people were dissatisfied with. Surely someone enjoyed it?

I must admit I've been busy with organization in the counseling office, so I'm afraid I missed what everyone seems to be so...enthusiastic about. I did notice, however, that there are several new residents on my roster that have arrived over the past few weeks. Allow me to welcome you to Smash Academy.

Since it's getting a bit warmer, I think I'll pay a visit to the archery range.

It's good to see you back, Miss Vashta. Did you enjoy your trip? I was worried when you left without saying anything.

[Despite having lived in Final Destination for quite some time now, Zelda has never quite gotten over her fascination with all these strange and exciting new holidays. Some of them don't quite make sense to her (according to the relative placements of Groundhog Day and the vernal equinox, there are six more weeks of winter no matter what, shadow or not), but a whole holiday celebrating love? That's something she can get behind. How wonderful!

So the dorms have been obnoxiously decorated once again, this time with paper hearts and Valentine's garland.

Zelda's a little oblivious to the fact that some people...might...not...like...Valentines Day. And even though she's still a little bummed out that Link's gone, she certainly cannot pass up an entire day of love.]

It's hard to believe it's almost Spring already. There's nothing quite like seeing the green tips of bulbs begin to break through what's left of the snow. Hopefully we've seen the last of that weather, but I suppose you never know.

I trust all of my residents have been well?

It seems our academy has endured the holidays and begun classes once again. I had planned to return on the third, but I was persuaded to remain an extra day. My sincerest apologies for any inconvenience. Everyone enjoyed their break, I trust. Thank you all for the thoughtful gifts.

Though I treasure my time at home with my father, I cannot deny that I treasure my time here as well. Turning a year older and beginning another revolution around the Sun reminds me of all the new things I have experienced since coming to Final Destination, and everything I have to be thankful for. It's rather amusing, the name of this town. A final destination--a last place, of sorts. Somewhat fitting, considering all the people that come here and find a home. There are, of course, those who leave. There always will be. But even then, I feel like we all return, in one way or another. At the very least, a part of us stays.

But here I am rambling about the reflections of my short time away. I suppose it can't be helped. What are your hopes for the new year, Smash Academy?

I hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday. I will be traveling to Hyrule for a short time to spend the remainder of the break with my father, and will return the day before classes resume.

Gifts oh gosh! )

Maxwell! I almost didn't recognize you with that beard. You look so grown-up. It's wonderful to have you with us again. You were certainly missed.

The campus is always so beautiful when it's covered in snow, though it's a shame the days have to get shorter. It's dark so early now. I hope everyone is staying warm and healthy. Are there any residents without sufficient winter clothes? It must be the first winter for at least some of you. Perhaps a shopping trip is in order if enough people are lacking in warm clothing or snow boots.

There's still so much to do before the break. Is anyone interested in helping me decorate the dorms for the winter holidays? I plan to travel home to Hyrule for a short time, but seeing as we don't celebrate Christmas, I'll be sure to return here by then. In the meantime, please remember my open door policy! As your Resident Assistant, I'm here to help, so don't hesitate to seek me out for anything you might need, even if it's just to chat.

[OOC: Office log! Feel free to swing by Zelda's room/the common room any time between now and the start of winter break on December 14th. She's pretty much up with the sun and out and about most of the day, but she returns to her room in the late afternoon/early evening when Vashta wakes up. For the purposes of this log, she'll be around the dorms (common room cutting out paper snowflakes and untangling lights, kitchen baking a million cookies, outside shoveling snow from the walkways, anywhere around the dorm complex, location is up to you) from about 9 AM to 6 or 7 PM and in her room until 10 or 11 PM, when she goes to sleep. This entry can be responded to like any normal journal, but if you opt for the office log route, please use paragraph format, and fill out this template!]

[Zelda has been a busy busy RA this week! She needed something to distract herself from the disaster that was Capcom High. So over the past few days, she has worked very hard to decorate the dorms for Halloween! Nothing too scary, of course, it's more of an autumnal motif. The halls and common rooms are adorned with lots of fake spiderwebs and strings of orange and yellow lights and fall leaf garlands and potted chrysanthemums and a variety of pumpkins, some of which have been carved into jack-o-lanterns. There may or may not be a Triforce one.]

The butterflies are lovely, aren't they?

I remember when I first arrived here as a freshman, I was so surprised at how many different Holidays were celebrated here that we don't have in Hyrule. Halloween is such an interesting one. I still haven't quite decided what I'm going to go as--I only started thinking about it when everyone posted those trick-or-treating forms on their journals.

What are everyone's plans this year?
